imagesYou can produce for probably the largest manufacturer of electronic gadget on the planet, a digital camera for their sub $ 250? I’m talking about Sony here, and the camera in question is the Sony Cybershot DSCW200 digital camera. DSCW200 is an ultra-compact digital, but is based on the high side of the premium compact category. It is a worthy competitor, or just a poser?

Let’s start with the mainThe examination of a camera … Image quality. Not so respectable, with the DSC-W200. Sony has chosen to go with 12 megapixels in this ultra-compact. Something like trying to squeeze an elephant into the passenger seat of your Austin Mini. Damn hard to do, and even if it happened, where are you going to ride an elephant? Marketing hype aside, is too full for a 12MP ultra-compact camera. Most of the images from an ultra-compact cameraWalk on the LCD display or uploaded to MySpace and Facebook pages viewed. Nobody is trying to blow this air, frames, and then hang over the fireplace. 5 or 6 megapixels would have been good. It is probably better, because the noise would be reduced.

For this price, I had higher expectations for the DSC-W200 LCD. Unfortunately, it seems that Sony cheaped here. 115,000 pixels on a screen 2.5-inch LCD is not great. There is actually quite grainy, and very difficult to get off the corner, orin full sun. As a basis of comparison for the head of Canon cameras in this category sport 3-inch LCD screen with 230,000 pixels of resolution. At least Sony has to offer an optical viewfinder. Not much, but one researcher not less.

During this next quibble is small I agree, I have to take it easy. The USB cable for Sony DSC-W200 is protected by copyright. I hate having to buy a product that is forced only by a product of society. I like the choice.Sony has the annoying habit of pushing proprietary technology dates back to the beta video, Memory Stick, and now with the whole Blu-Ray fiasco. Not to say that they were not good / better technology, I just like choice.

But wait, there’s more. Sony has enough slip up with the Cybershot DSC-W200, Sony are also the most ardent lovers coquettish glance at other candidates. Here are some other reasons:

- Zoom zoom is not enough

- Megapixels excessivedriven price too high

- Time to flash charging is not acceptable

- Big left-handed controls of the camera can be difficult

- Face detection is in automatic mode

- Face detection works inconsistently

- The zoom function does not work while shooting video

How to buy Macro Lenses

imagesWhile there are opportunities to engage in the field of macro photography without buying a real macro lens, in this article we choose the macro lens.

If you have a large budget, it is important that the nature of macro photography is meant in this way you can determine the focal length must be to streamline the selection process for engagement.

In short, here are the different uses of the different macro lens focal length:

50-60mm is usuallyused for product pictures and small objects

90-105mm, the range of choice for flowers, insects and other small animals and objects is

150-200mm range allows the photographer to stay away from the subject. Recommended for animals that are too sensitive or too dangerous to approach.

From the foregoing it is clear that serious macro photographers finally have at least one of each. However, given the prohibitive price of the macro realis essential to make an honest assessment and see what area is likely to focus on that.

Note that a true macro lens should be technically capable of reproducing the subject on at least a 1:1 ratio. This means that the image of the object on the sensor or film size should be at least real.

Nothing less than a 1:1 ratio, the sign of a simple macro / close up setting and not a true macro. This type of information must be indicated on the lens and / orManual.

Finally, before buying the target in order to ensure that as many votes as you can read about the various possibilities. Finally, these goals are not only prohibitively expensive, but are probably not so common item of expenditure.

This means that a wrong choice of the lens to be heavy, with a lens, the side without selling this at a great loss to be able to leave. So take your time and choose wisely.

Excellent Photos from this little point and shoot!

I've had a Nikon S510 a while back which I loved, and the Nikon S570 is even better. I like vivid colors, and when set to "vivid", the Nikon S570 produces photos with beautiful vivid colors and excellent contrast. The wide angle lens has great edge to edge sharpness. The Nikon S570 performs well, probably not the fastest (shutter lag and start-up time), but good nonetheless. The only thing that it's really slow in is the wait time between shots, which seems to be an eternity. I've missed a few shots waiting for the camera to be ready for the next shot. Otherwise, I really love this camera. It's small and light enough to fit in you pocket, and it takes great pictures. And for it's price, it's definitely a great buy.
Very "COOL" little camera !!

I made this purchase for my wife for christmas .
Although I bought this some time ago she just opened it for Christmas and she LOVES it!
very easy to use and the quality is great..very light very easy no problems what so ever .

Her hobby is photography so she finds it very easy to use and she knows her numbers and what to set it on so it is one nice little camera for when she dont want to lug around her bigger one. we have read reviews for this camera and we do not find anything wrong with it ..some say it is slow between shots .. My wife does not at all find this camera slow between shots..no way

Some also say its blurry when you playback the photos.. Ours is not blurry at all and I played my photos back on my 32 inch HD TV..they come out clear as a bell.

But some people DO have that problem..here is a solution that my wife says to do....

DO NOT in any way ROTATE your photos from the camera..this could damage the memory chip you have so what we always do is Hook the camera up to the computer then load the shots on to that ..then you can rotate all you want..you will see the difference .
I hope that helps people.

Also..we have no need to use the software for it either.. we just plug the camera to the computer and take my shots off the camera that way (just open the file) ..then I use my own photo sofware .. and Again not a problem at all

The Video is also cute on it..I wouldnt film "important things" such as one time events..but just for quick things..then its good .but thats not what my wife wants to use it for. so we dont mind it .
All in all we are very very happy with this camera.

Thank you

Perfect

I did quite a bit of research before buying this camera, and I am quite pleased. I am a pro photographer who uses the Nikon SLR system, and was looking for a point and shoot. Although I am a loyal Nikon shooter, I realize that Nikon has not been the leader in the point and shoot market. However, this model has a great feel to it, sturdy and solid. It is small enough to take anywhere, and makes amazing photos,I love it. I think that a lot of the negative hype about this camera is from people who do not read the user's manual, and who do not have any skills in the area of photography. In my experience with this camera, it performs exactly as I expect it to- because I read the manual! Trust me, it's an awesome little camera.
Great Point and Shoot

Reviewer: Laura B. True,
I am a photographer. I like having a point and shoot so I don't miss those little moments when I am not lugging my D300, flash and accessories. The S570 offers 3200 ISO, wide angle, macro and many other settings that make this a versatile camera that can travel with me anywhere. Someone that is looking for great features at a low price can not go wrong with this Nikon.

How to Choose a Digital Camera

imagesChoosing a digital camera? This is not an issue easily resolved because of the wide range of digital cameras available on the market today. Each camera has its own individual characteristics such as image resolution, storage capacity, etc. power lens so that the buyer must examine the camera?

1. Image quality

The image quality and color accuracy, which should be examined carefully. Actually you should spend much time looking at the images from multiple cameras, before taking a decision. These images should not be retouched photos, but fresh shoots.

2. Decision

The resolution is another important requirement. The quality of a camera is directly proportional to the resolution of images. For example (at 3 megapixels MP) camera outputs images that are anywhere from 1 to 2 MB, while a 7 MP picture camera outputs ranging from 4 to 5 MB in size. If you’re a professional photographer, then you should go for high pixel camera beginners can see the low-and middle-cameras.

3. Weight

Should also not forget the weight of the camera. A camera big and heavy and difficult to implement. It is also more difficult to hold it during shooting. You should choose a camera that you can focus with ease.

4. Capacity

The number of pictures a camera can take before you download them to your computer that can not be a problem if you shoot close to your computer. Of course this means something if you shoot outdoors, then you should choose a camera that will be sufficient to store images. Should go to the memory card of a larger or smaller memory cards. This will give you the luxury of a long shot photos.

5. Objective Quality

Midrange cameras have a single objective, with or without zoom facility. For objects to shoot at close range (approximately less than 1.5 m), select a camera with a macro setting. High-end cameras, there are basically 35mm. SLR (Single Lens Reflex)), the cameras are equipped with interchangeable lenses, but can cost him a fine They are more suitable for professional photographers. Beginners do not burn money on them.
